Companion

It is necessary for two companions to be present at the shelter at all times. Companions can expect to listen to, accept without judging, keep the peace and attend to the needs of guests at all times.

Best shift for me: 8 p.m. - 12 a.m. 12 a.m. - 4 a.m. 4 a.m. – 8 a.m.

Kitchen

In addition to the two companions, two people are needed in the kitchen from 8:00 p.m. till approximately 10 p.m. each evening to serve the nightly dinners and clean the kitchen and serving area.

Meal Provider

Each evening a dinner is needed. The meal is decided by the provider and it is important that the dinner be delivered to the shelter by 8 p.m.

Housekeeping

Once a week the entire shelter needs a good cleaning. (dust, mop, etc.)

Laundry Service

Each day there are bed and bath linens that need to be laundered.

Clerical

Several hours a week are spent performing minor clerical duties such as filing, basic organization and data entry.

Grounds

Occasionally, basic lawn care, snow removal and trash pick-up are needed.
